Dear Colleagues;
This is to announce that the Czech and Slovak Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering in cooperation with Arcadis company is organising a workshop entitled "Physical Modelling for Geotechnical Practice" within the framework of annual event "Prague Geotechnical Days". The workshop is scheduled for May 9-10 2016 in Prague. It is intended for both practitioners and academia. We are delighted to announce that distinguished lecturers Dr. W. Fellin; Prof. N. Taylor; Prof. C. W. W. Ng and Dr. J. Dijkstra; accompanied by Czech experts Dr. J. Najser and Prof. J. Pacovsky will deliver invited lectures. The workshop is followed by 24th Prague Geotechnical Lecture by Prof. A. N. Schofield entitled "Critical States of Soil and Geotechnical Centrifuge Tests". In 2016; registration fee is covered by the organisers for all registering before 22.04.2016.
